"Knitting strips until the wool runs out"

The aim of the blue Knitting Room is to help reduce depression by improving the quality of lifestyle and leisure programs for young people at risk and for older people, particularly those in residential care. All items in the blue Knitting Room are based on one simple shape which the participants can easily knit and use to make a series of objects of their own choice. Some beautiful pieces have been created, but the emphasis is on the creative process, in particular by getting people to talk to each other while working, rather than the final artifact.
